Laurus Nobilis Aurea, commonly known as yellow leaved bay tree is a stunning, bushy, evergreen shrub which has oval shaped, leathery golden yellow leaves which become even brighter in both winter and spring. In the months from March through to May the Laurus Nobilis Aurea blooms clusters of green/yellow tiny flowers which are closely followed by glossy black fruits. This shrub is often grown for its stunning foliage with the flowers just an added bonus!

If planted in groups can form a lovely, bright bush or screening plant, and can grow really well in containers which can maintain a smaller height and width than its true potential. Suitable for a variety of planting schemes and garden types makes this a good all round plant.

Laurus Nobilis Aurea care

Plant the Laurus Nobilis Aurea in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden with moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. Generally disease free and requiring occasional pruning makes it a perfect low maintenance shrub for gardeners of all abilities. In winter months simply prune back any branches which grow outside the natural framework, although the Laurus is good at creating a wonderful shape completely naturally.
