The leaves are tall strap like leaves of green colour with summer yellow stripes up each leaf creating a wonderfully bright foliage brightening up its planted location. In July and August the Phormium Yellow Wave can produce tall erect flowers although insignificant compared to the stunning foliage. Good for growing in low maintenance schemes, a wide choice of garden types and many planting locations.
Phormium Yellow Wave care
Plant the Phormium Yellow Wave in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden, sheltered from strong winds and moist, well drained soils. An easy to grow perennial which is suitable for gardeners of all abilities. Generally disease free and requiring very minimal pruning. In spring simply cut back any dead or damaged leaves to encourage a healthy growth.
