Paeonia Lactiflora ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ commonly known as Peony is a lovely clump forming herbaceous perennial which has mid green, divided leaves. In the warmer months of June and July the Paeonia Lactiflora ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ will bloom tall erect stems with large rose pink, double flowers, with ruffled centres known to be highly scented.

Making the perfect specimen plant, whilst suiting almost any planting location and garden type, from flower beds, borders, used for underplanting and often used for cut flowers.

Paeonia Lactiflora ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ care

Plant the Paeonia Lactiflora ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden in moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. Best to plant in a sheltered location from strong winds. Occasionally you may need to protect the tall stems of flowers with a bamboo cane. Once the flowers begin to fade, remove these, and in autumn months when the foliage begins to die back cut the plant back for new growth the following season.
