Monarda Croftway Pink commonly known as Bergamot is a pretty clump forming, herbaceous perennial with lance shaped mid green leaves known to be softly aromatic. Monarda Croftway Pink will bloom in July through to September these erect stems with whorls of two lipped flowers bright pink held above the foliage, creating a wonderful pretty pink covering.
This long flowering perennial is often planted in the middle of a mixed border where its long flowering colour will add extra interest. If planted in groups/drifts the Monarda can create something special when the wind lightly blows, it creates such a stunning display. Suiting a variety of other planting locations, planting schemes and garden types adding interest for a good amount of time.
Monarda Croftway Pink care
Plant the Monarda Croftway Pink in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden with moist well drained soil where it will thrive, making sure to protect from winter wet, and keeping moist in the summer months to prevent the soils drying out. Deadhead the plant regularly and in autumn cut the stems back down to ground level to encourage healthy flourishes in the following season.
