Eupatorium Ligustrinum, commonly known as ‘Privet-leaved Ageratina’, is a species of evergreen shrub native to North America. This plant is prized for its striking foliage and tall, showy clusters of white flowers that bloom in late Summer and early Autumn.
This Eupatorium can reach a height of 2.5 metres and has distinctive, narrow, glossy green leaves that resemble those of a privet bush. Its clusters of flowers are large and showy, attracting pollinators and adding visual interest to the garden.
Eupatorium Ligustrinum care
Thriving in full sunlight or partial shade and a well drained area the Eupatorium Ligustrinum is a great all round perennial. Generally disease and pest free and only requires a simple yearly prune. We recommend cutting back at the end of the season by cutting the stems after flowering. Apply a good quality compost to the base of the plant once done.
