Equisetum Camtschatcense, commonly known as Horsetail is an erect, clump forming, semi-evergreen perennial with tall erect, hollow stems which are corrugated looking, joined with a deep black band up the stem.

The Equisetum Camtschatcense is often planted in boggy, aquatic areas, and can be used for low maintenance water edge interest, sometimes used in wet wildflower settings also.

Equisetum Camtschatcense care

Plant in a sunny, partially shaded location with sheltered position due to its erect growth. This perennial loves boggy, wet soils and is often planted next to ponds and water and can even be grown in shallow water. We would recommend to prune when required, any tall shots which become broken/bent over, brown or yellow and you can even cut all stems at the same height to create a flat look.
