Dianella Tasmanica, commonly known as Tasman Flax Lily is an evergreen, clump forming perennial with deep green sword-like leaves becoming red tinged during the Winter. Throughout the Summer months small dark blue flowers on erect stem flourish, followed by violet blue berries, a magnet for the many birds and other garden wild life visiting the garden. Superb addition to the flower border, and low enough to plant at the front to form a colourful edge.
Dianella Tasmanica care
The Dianella Tasmanica thrives in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden where it will really benefit from, often preferring a sheltered position, we recommend planting with good quality compost, fertiliser and watering well until established. Prune occasionally to remove any dead leaves of damaged foliage to encourage a vigorous healthy growth.
