Ajuga Catlins Giant, commonly known as Bugle Catlins Giant, is a semi-evergreen, mat forming perennial with handsome glossy, large purple and brown leaves which closely knit together to form a lovely, colourful ground cover plant. In the month of May it bears beautiful upright spires of deep blue/purple flowers.

This perennial makes a good choice for mat forming, ground cover in your garden, perfect for planting at the front of a border or bed for semi-evergreen interest, can also be planted on banks or slopes and in partial shade, meaning some people will plant under trees to keep the coverage colourful and attractive.
