Yucca Filamentosa, commonly known as Adams Needle is a small clump-forming evergreen shrub with long sword like, almost erect leaves of deep green, with small cream colour filaments. In the months of July and August the Yucca Filamentosa produces these stiff upright stems with spikes of wonderful white, bell shaped flowers.
Although mediterranean looking this Yucca is suitable for planting almost anywhere, often in flower beds and borders or coastal gardens making a perfect architectural plant with the added height when flowering.
Yucca Filamentosa care
Thriving in a sunny location with well drained soil, the Yucca Filamentosa makes a great plant in almost any garden. We would recommend planting in a sheltered location as the tall flower stems can be quite delicate when young. Generally disease free and requiring no pruning makes this a perfect low maintenance shrub, ideal for both beginner gardeners and experienced gardeners alike.
