Sidalcea Candida commonly known as Prairie Mallow is a beautiful, clump forming, deciduous perennial which has dark green, lobed leaves on tall, erect stems. The months of July through to September is where the Sidalcea Candida really shows off. Producing beautiful, pure white, funnel shaped open flowers. A firm favourite with bees and butterflies in the garden too… not just the gardeners! With a later flowering period than the Sidalcea ‘Elsie Heugh’ the ‘Candida’ makes another great choice for the garden!

Planted in flower beds and borders, containers and even wall side spots. Suiting a variety of planting schemes from cottage and informal gardens to coastal planting and many more.

Sidalcea Candida care

Plant the Sidalcea Candida in a warmer, sunny area of the garden, sheltered from any strong winds. With moist well drained soils where it really will reward you with a beautiful display. We would recommend cutting back after flowering to encourage a healthier, stronger growth the following season. An easy to maintain garden plant that becomes a star of the border when flowering!
