Persicaria Affinis Darjeeling Red often known as Knotweed is a low mat forming, semi evergreen perennial plant which has short lance shaped mid green leaves which sit almost upright, around 15cm in height, in autumn months the leaves are known to turn a striking hot red colour adding even more interest. In June through to September the Persicaria Affinis Darjeeling Red will bloom small but dense spikes of pink flowers maturing into a more darker red!

A good all round, hardy perennial plant which suits a variety of locations including flower beds and borders, a good low growing edging plant making a good container grown perennial too! Suits almost any garden and planting scheme, the perfect addition to the garden.

Plant the Persicaria Affinis Darjeeling Red in a sunny, warm area of the garden, slightly sheltered in moist well drained soils where it will thrive. Often planted in groups for added impact. Easy to grow, generally disease and pest free and needing no pruning making a great low maintenance garden plant! May require an occasional comb to remove dead leaves.
