Penstemon Digitalis Husker Red often known as the Bear Tongue plant is a beautiful bushy, semi-evergreen perennial which has wonderful green, lance like leaves which are often a deep red colour when young and the same with the stems, a striking wine red shade. In June through to August the Penstemon Digitalis Husker Red will bloom tall erect stems with bell shaped, pure white flower creating a pretty display.
Suiting almost any garden type or planting location makes this perennial a perfect all round garden plant. Including flower beds, borders, wall side borders, and many garden types such as informal planting schemes, coastal gardens, city gardens and many more.
Penstemon Digitalis Husker Red care
Plant the Penstemon Digitalis Husker Red in a sunny, warm area of the garden which has moist, well drained soils. Requiring some plant care, simply removing any of the dead or damaged foliage in early springtime and once flowered simply deadhead the plant.
