Passiflora Caerulea commonly known as Blue Passion Flower is a beautiful semi-evergreen climber which creates a stunning display with fast growth habit. The leaves are dark green, 5 lobes with twining tendrils. In July and September the Passiflora Caerulea will bloom the true stars of the show, stunning white flowers with blue and purple filaments, often producing shortly after these plum like orange fruits.

Perfect for planting in a variety of locations including against walls and borders where it will climb and cover promptly. Often grown in containers where the plants will thrive and grow in the direction you need. Suiting most garden types.

Passiflora Caerulea care

Plant the Passiflora Caerulea in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden with moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. A quick grower which will require some pruning and maintenance. Tie around 5 of the strongest shoots to maintain the growth direction, once flowered, cut back the flowered shoots to around 2 buds. In spring months you can then prune, removing any dead or damaged branches.
