Paeonia Lactiflora ‘Karl Rosenfield’ also known as Peony is a lovely, herbaceous, clump forming perennial plant which has dark green, divided lance like leaves. In June and July the Paeonia Lactiflora ‘Karl Rosenfield’ will burst into colour, blooming these stunning free flowering double crimson red flowers which produce a fantastic scent which is often what this peony is known for!
Often the Karl Rosenfield flowers are used for cut flowers, with the plant suiting a variety, if not all locations and planting schemes. Great for underplanting rose bushes, flower beds, borders and different garden types like cottage and informal schemes.
Paeonia Lactiflora ‘Karl Rosenfield’ care
Plant the Paeonia Lactiflora ‘Karl Rosenfield’ in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden, sheltered from strong winds, with moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. Some maintenance is required although easy to maintain, we recommend a good compost top dressing in early spring, or mulch for the added nutrients and damp. Simply remove the flowers once they begin to fade and cut the plant back in autumn once the leaves begin to die.
