Kniphofia Bees Lemon, commonly known as red hot poker is a clump forming perennial with a bushy habit. Forming almost upright, long, narrow arching green leaves. In the months of July, August and September the Kniphofia Bees Lemon produces tall erect stems which has stunning yellow flowers which begin as a lime green bud, creating a wonderful summer colour.
This flowering perennial can be planted in a variety of locations including flower beds and borders, and can be grown in containers where they can thrive on a sunny balcony or non grassed gardens. Can further suit a variety of garden types and planting schemes.
Kniphofia Bees Lemon care
Plant the Kniphofia Bees Lemon in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden with moist, well drained soil where it will thrive. Generally disease and pest free makes this perennial a good, easy to grow plant suitable for gardeners of all abilities. In autumn, prune back any faded flower spikes to encourage a healthy growth in the upcoming seasons. Once pruned apply a good amount of mulch to the base of the plant.
