Kirengeshoma Palmata, commonly known as Palmate Kirengeshoma is a clump forming, herbaceous perennial with lovely palmately lobed, mid green leaves. In the months from June through until August the Kirengeshoma Palmata blooms lovely deep red stems with creamy/white bell shaped flowers, nodding, creating a lovely view above the mid green foliage beneath.
This perennial is a great all rounder, planted in a wide variety of planting locations, garden types and planting schemes. Known to be a traditionally rare, woodland plant which will suit woodland planting schemes, other recommended locations include flower beds and borders and cottage planting schemes.
Kirengeshoma Palmata care
Plant the Kirengeshoma Palmata in a shady area of the garden, which can be under trees or against dark areas in the garden where it will thrive. Requiring moist, well drained soils which can be improved and maintained by planting with a good quality garden compost. Generally disease free and requires minimal yearly pruning making a good plant for gardeners of all abilities. Once flowered simply remove the old flower stems to encourage a more healthy growth and increased bloom in the following seasons.
