Hydrangea Macrophylla Madame Emile Mouillere, commonly known as Mophead Hydrangea is a bushy, deciduous shrub with large oval shaped green leaves, slightly toothed on the edges. In July and August the Hydrangea Macrophylla Madame Emile Mouillere blooms lovely large white dome shaped flower heads which often tinge pink with age and in full sun.
Often planted in flower beds and borders and can make a brilliant container plant for gardens without grass, patios or balcony growing. Flowers can be used as cut flowers. Suited to many, if not all garden types and planting schemes.
Hydrangea Macrophylla Madame Emile Mouillere care
Plant the Hydrangea Macrophylla Madame Emile Mouillere in a sunny location or dappled shade with moist, well drained soil where it will thrive. Be sure the soil maintains its moist properties especially in warmer, dry weather by watering regularly as Hydrangeas dislike really dry soils. In spring prune any faded flower heads and foliage which are damaged or dead to encourage a more health growth. Younger plants will require mulching in spring time to maintain the moist properties.
