Hamamelis Intermedia ‘Mollis’, commonly known as Witch Hazel is a large, deciduous, bushy shrub which has oval shaped, broad, mid green leaves which in the autumn months turn a fire red and yellow colour. In the months of December to February the frost resistant Hamamelis Intermedia ‘Arnolds Promise’ blooms large amounts of bright yellow flowers which are extremely fragrant.

Often planted in flower beds and borders or low cottage gardens, making sure to have enough room for when the Hamamelis grows larger into its open habit.

Hamamelis Intermedia ‘Mollis’ care

Plant the Hamamelis Intermedia ‘Arnolds Promise’ in a sunny, partially shaded location of the garden with moist, well drained soils. Hardy to UK winters and known to be very low maintenance requiring minimal pruning and generally pest free. In spring simply prune any dead or damaged branches or any which begin to misshape the natural frame of the plant. Once pruned, apply a generous amount of good quality garden compost to the base of the plant.
