Ficus Carica Brown Turkey, commonly known as Fig is a bushy, deciduous shrub with wonderful, deeply lobed mid green leaves. In May the Ficus Carica Brown Turkey blooms white insignificant flowers, closely followed by these lovely pear shaped fruits of green, flushed with purple which are normally ready in the summer months. Sometimes can produce two cycles of fruits if the weather is hotter than normal.

Planted in many gardens, and many garden schemes from city schemes, to mediterranean schemes. Sometimes seen in award winning gardens also for the interest of the fruits colour.

Ficus Carica Brown Turkey care

Plant the Ficus Carica Brown Turkey in a sunny location of the garden where you have moist, well drained soil. Generally disease and pest free and known to be easy to grow we would recommend this plant if you are an experienced gardener or beginner gardener also! Pruning is required, in spring time remove a small proportion of around a quarter of the plants older branches which will prevent overcrowding but also promote a more healthy growth.
