Fatsia Japonica, commonly known as Caster Oil plant is an evergreen, suckering shrub with stunning glossy, dark green palmate leaves which can grow up to 45cm wide, so pretty large, but beautiful still! In October the Fatsia Japonica produces small globose clusters of pure white flowers followed by black, tiny fruits.

A perfect plant for almost any garden, can create a lovely feature of exotic looking, warm gardens, or often planted in beds or borders and many other planting schemes. Can also be grown in large containers if you don’t have a grassed garden.

Fatsia Japonica care

Perfect for a sunny, partially shaded location the Fatsia Japonica will thrive, as long as it has well drained soils. In spring cut back any shoots which begin to mishape the plant from its natural and your desirable shape and then placing good quality compost at the base of the plant. Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings.
