Plant in a sunny, partially shaded location with well drained soil where the Deutzia Hookeriana will thrive. Generally disease and pest free and requiring minimal pruning makes this shrub a great low maintenance garden plant for all gardeners of whatever experience level. We recommend cutting back annually to encourage a healthy growth, prune in late winter, removing any damaged or spindly branches to encourage the shrub to regrow.
