Cytisus Allgold commonly known as Broom is a bushy, deciduous shrub with small simple, mid green leaves forming a dense structure. In the months of May to June the Cytisus Allgold will produce these almost erect stems with a showering of summer yellow flowers across them, creating a bright coverage. Suitable planting locations are almost anywhere, including drought resistant areas whilst siting well a range of planting schemes and garden types also.

Cytisus Allgold care

Plant the Cytisus Allgold in a warm, sunny area of the garden with moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. This shrub is generally disease free and requires annual pruning which can be good for gardeners of all abilities if willing to prune once a year. After flowering simply cut back any dead or damaged branches, and any crowded stems to the ground.
