Cordyline Australis commonly known as Cabbage Palm is a tufted evergreen, exotic looking shrub or small tree which forms several branches from the one base with narrow, sword like mid green leaves. In July to August it will bloom small, creamy coloured flowers which are known to be lightly fragrant. A good garden plant suitable for a range of garden types and planting schemes and locations including coastal gardens where it is tolerant of salty air.
