Choisya Ternata commonly known as Mexican Orange Blossom is a bushy, evergreen shrub which forms a dense rounded mound of foliage and flowers. With glossy, dark green, oval shaped leaves and in the month of May and occasionally a second flourish the Choisya Ternata will produce pretty, star shaped, pure white flowers across the plant. Contrasting well against the dark green foliage, known to produce a lovely fragrance also. A good all round garden plant which is suitable for almost any garden, coping well in drought resistant areas, borders and flower beds and growing well in many garden types and planting schemes where it will add brightness.
Choisya Ternata care
The Choisya Ternata will thrive in a sunny, partially shaded area sheltered from strong winds with moist, well drained soils. Being hardy and evergreen this shrub will survive all year round and give all year colour. Known to be generally disease free and some pruning does make a good plant for gardeners of all experience levels. Simple prune after flowering around 30 cm of the flowering stems which will encourage that well desired second flourish of flowers!
