Caryopteris White Surprise commonly known as Bluebeard is a deciduous, upright shrub with lance shaped, oval leaves slightly toothed on the edges. Mid green centres, with creamy yellow, irregular margins. In August to September the Caryopteris White Surprise will bloom lovely light blue / purple coloured flowers which produce this wonderful fragrance when close.
A great all round garden plant, often planted in a variety of locations including flower beds and borders, banks or slopes and if grown in groups can create a small bush for added privacy. A real all round gem that is a must for your garden.
Caryopteris White Surprise care
Plant the Caryopteris White Surprise in a sunny, warm area of the garden sheltered from strong winds, with moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. Generally disease free and known as easy to grow makes the Caryopteris a common choice with beginner and expert gardeners alike. Annual pruning is required and carried out in spring time. Simply cut back to within two buds of the old growth, removing any dead or damaged branches too.
