Caryopteris Summer Sorbet commonly known as Bluebeard is a lovely, bushy, deciduous shrub with oval shaped mid green leaves, with variegated edges in a golden yellow, really brightening the plant up. In the months from July through until September, the Caryopteris Summer Sorbet will bloom lovely bunches of small pale blue flowers across the plant, contrasting really well with the yellow variegation.
A perfect, eye catching addition to the garden, suiting well flower beds and borders where its rounded structure can fit almost any location. Can also be planted on banks or slopes and drought resistant schemes. A low maintenance choice that will fit in well with other planting schemes and garden types. Can also be planted in groups to become a small-medium sized, coloured bush.
Caryopteris Summer Sorbet care
Plant the Caryopteris Summer Sorbet in a sunny, warm area of the garden, sheltered from strong winds, with moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. Generally disease free and some pruning makes for a good plant for beginner and expert gardeners alike. Prune lightly in spring time by removing dead or damaged branches to encourage a bushy growth and improve the plants overall health.
