Calamagrostis X Acutiflora Karl Foerster commonly known as Feather Reed Grass is a tufted, clump forming deciduous grass perennial with long arching, flat green leaves. In the months from July all the way through to December it will bloom these tall erect spikes of bronze coloured feathery leaves which fade with age into a more pale brown colour looking stunning in light winds.
Can be planted in many locations, planting schemes and garden types where it can make a great impact! Often planted in containers where it can be planted in patios, balconies or gardens without grass and still add a splash of colour.

Plant in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden with moist, well drained soil where it will thrive. Generally pest free and only some pruning makes a good choice for gardeners of all abilities. Simply cut back the old stems to ground level in spring time to encourage a healthy growth.
