Buddleja Pink Delight, commonly known as Butterfly Bush is a bright and beautiful deciduous shrub with pointed lance shaped mid green leaves often grey underneath, turning yellow in autumn. In July through to September the Buddleja Pink Delight produces these stunning slender flower spikes of pink. Wonderfully fragrant and a favourite with butterflies and other insects, hence the name ‘Butterfly bush’.
We recommend planting the Buddleja Pink Delight in beds or borders against walls, suited really for anywhere as the pink delight adds this lovely pink glow not often seen with other Buddlejas.
Buddleja Pink Delight care
Plant the Buddleja Pink Delight in a sunny or partially shaded location with moist, well drained soil where it will thrive. Generally disease free and requiring some pruning makes this Buddleja a great garden plant. In late spring prune the Buddleja Pink Delight back hard removing the previous years growth, which will encourage more vigorous growth and increased flowers next bloom. Deadheading will also remove seedlings.
