Plant InformationBuddleja Davidii Black Knight, also known as Butterfly Bush is a fast growing, bushy, deciduous shrub with arching stems and mid green pointed leaves, which in autumn, turn a sunny yellow. In July through to September it produces these lovely dense flower spikes of deep violet colour, sweetly scented and a firm favourite with butterflies and other insects.
A beautiful shrub often planted in beds or flower borders against walls, with such deep violet colours and bush habit is a great plant for almost any garden.
Buddleja Davidii Black Knight care
This Buddleja thrives in a sunny or partially shaded location with moist, well drained soil. Generally disease free and requires some pruning. In March we would prune back, removing the previous years growth which will encourage more vigorous growth and increase the bloom the following year. This Buddleja makes a truly beautiful addition to any garden!
