Astilbe Chinensis Var. Pumila, commonly known as Dwarf Chinese Astilbe is a clump forming, deciduous perennial which forms a spreading clump with deeply cut green foliage.

In the months from May through to October the Astilbe Chinensis Var. Pumila produces stunning fluffy panicle spikes of pinky-purple flowers which are perfectly bright! Plant the perennial in a sunny location of the garden to add late summer colour. Perfect for ground cover and planted close to ponds and streams.

Astilbe Chinensis Var. Pumila Care

Plant the Astilbe Chinensis Var. Pumila in a sunny location of the garden in moist well drained soil to poorly drained soil where the perennial will thrive. If the soil is not moist and drys out this plant could suffer. Generally disease and pest free the Astilbe Chinensis Var. Pumila makes a great garden plant for all gardening experience levels. We recommend to lightly prune by simply cutting back after flowering.
