Albizia Julibrissin ‘Rosea’, commonly known as pink silk tree is a deciduous, bushy tree/shrub with stunning fern or mimosa like green leaves which add a bushy effect. In the summer months of June and July it produces wonderful rose pink, fluffy flower heads with strong stamens. Interestingly the fine leaves of this shrub can close up at night time or in rainy conditions, hiding from the colder rainy UK weather!

This exotic looking hardy shrub is great for adding exotic colour and depth to the garden, looking extra special in coastal and courtyard gardens.

Albizia Julibrissin Rosea Care

The Albizia Julibrissin Rosea is generally pest free and with some precautions such as weed control; disease free. Prune immediately after flowering or in winter/early spring to help the shrub rejuvenate. By planting in a well drained, moist location with full sun, the Albizia thrives producing stunning displays each year, a perfect exotic edition to the garden.
