Our Story

This website was acquired in June 2024 as an addition to our other retail interests.  Going forward, Emerald Plants is completely committed and focused on you, the customer, and your needs.

We are always contactable by either phone or email.

We have been in the growing business for over 40 years, supplying garden centres and landscapers since the mid-eighties.   We have three main aims:

To provide customers with top quality plants
To do this at the best possible price
To give a service second to none

At Emerald Plants we grow some of the very best award winning plants and we are constantly looking for interesting new plants as well as revisiting some older varieties which may have become overlooked over the years.

Emerald Plants is managed by Ian Phillips.

Ian was brought up on the family farm in Devon and has been a “plantaholic” for as long as he cares to remember. He has a wide knowledge of all things that grow and has a professional support team that consist of hard working staff that look after the preparation, packing and general health of the plants.

Emerald Plants is located deep in cider country within The Vale of Taunton in Somerset. Being in the lee of the beautiful Blackdown Hills and just 50 metres above sea level the nursery is blessed with a very favourable micro climate enabling superb growing conditions.
