Lonicera Nitida, commonly known as Wilsons Honeysuckle is a bushy, evergreen shrub which has small oval shaped, dark green leaves, glossy to see on long arching branches across the plant. In the months of April to May the Lonicera Nitida bears small creamy white flowers across the plants branches brightening the dark foliage up.
A perfect all rounder, suitable for basically all garden types, all planting schemes and all garden locations. Makes a suitable hedging and screening plant with its dense habit to create a good level of privacy. Can also be grown in patio containers which means it can be grown on sunny balconies and gardens without grass in a lovely pot, a good topiary shrub.
Lonicera Nitida care
Plant the Lonicera Nitida in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden with moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. An easy to grow shrub that is generally disease and pest free, and minimal pruning, perfect for both beginners and expert gardeners alike. If grown as a hedging topiary plant clip in spring time, prune any dead or damaged branches to encourage a bushy, healthy growth.
